     Christu Jyothi started its journey in the year 1999 by the diocese of Neyyattinkara with the motto "Wisdom, Service and Love" and successfully completed 19 years with the ideology "Arise, Awake and stop not ill the goal is reached" I take this opportunity to thank almighty for the blessings and guidance bestowed upon our School.  Keeping the high standard of education our school aims to mould the students for holistic development and sincere commitment to society.  Our teaching faculty consists of a team of 45 highly qualified committed and experienced staff along with 35 supportive staff.  We have an enthusiastic team of teachers for Communicative English, Physical Education, Music, Band, Craft and Library.

Our School is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.  We follow the CBSE syllabus prescriebd by NCERT.


The academic year 2018-19 commenced on June 4th Rev.Fr.Alphonse Ligori our manager inaugurated the freshener's day by lighting the candle.  The customary 'Candle Light' ceremony has a deep intellectual and spiritual significance.  The 'Jyothi' signifies knowledge, which dispels ignorance and darkness.  Like the flame burning upwards our knowledge must take us towards higher ideals.  Teachers received this 'Jyothi' from our manager father's hand and with great divinity, took this radiance inside their respective class rooms, thus spreading the wisdom to the students.


Excellence in academic is the hallmark of any good institution.  Yes, another academic achievement conferred by our students, who appeared for AISSE Exam and secured 100% success.  36 Distinctions, 28 First Class.

   We are indeed proud to crown Abhiram S R & Nidhuna Vincent S the top scorer of our School for his great accomplishment in AISSCE who achieved 97% and presently, continuing her studies in ISSAR Meritorious awards were honoured to the students by father on the award day.  I congratulate all the students and may their life always be filled with successful moments.


To enrich and enhance the teaching skills and to update the teachers in various fields, we provide the facility to attend various seminars, workshops and orientation programmes.  During this academic year the following courses were organized.

1.Mr.Ramachandran a resource person, from CBSE organized a class on the "Remodeled Exam Pattern" for teachers and parents.

2.  A three day conference meet was attended by Principal based on the enrichment programme titled "0.4 Revolution" at Ernakulam organized by Sahodaya Confederation.

3. Capacity building course named "Remodeled Assessment Structure" by Dr.Deepa Chandran was attended by Principal and Vice Principal.

4. Manager Father attended different courses conducted by CBSE Management Association.  The resource persons were Mr.Alexander Jacob & Mr.Joseph.

5. An awareness message programme related to misuse of Mobile Phones and Media was delivered to parents and students by Mr.Sibi clinical Psychologist from Kottayam.

6. Science teachers attended a two days course on "New Exam Format".

7.  Three different seminars for "Bus Crew" were conducted under the supervision of Sub Inspector Valiyamala Mr.Ajeesh.  The subject "The Responsibility of Drivers, First Aid and Road Safety", was very relevant for driving and cleaning staff.

Teachers benefitted a lot through these mentoring workshops to improvise their teaching skills.


The first general body meeting of the PTA was held on July 8th.  An executive committee representing all classes was elected.  Mr.Dhaneesh was elected as the PTA President Mr.Shaji as Vice President.  Once in every two months executive members gather to discuss the academic and co-curricular activities.  Their valuable suggestions are taken into consideration for the improvement of the student.  Class PTA was conducted after the half yearly examination.  Parents of slow learners were called for remedial measures.  For Higher Secondary section, three Parents Teachers meeting were conducted.


Once in two months School Management Committee and teachers assemble together to assess and evaluate teaching discipline and important forth coming events.



Was celebrated on June 5th, to promote a green consciousness among students and by providing a practical experience in raising saplings.  The day was made more renowned by planting saplings in the School Campus and saplings were distributed to the students.


Was observed on June 19th to inculcate the habit of reading.  Quiz competition was held and the selected students were sent to Kerala State Library Council for Reading Competition.


Aiming democratic awareness and leadership qualities we conducted an authentic election process.  The polling day was on June 21st students from class IV to XII marked their valuable votes in the ballot papers in a confidential and disciplines way.  Thus Govind Kumar Sha and Krishna Sree K S were elected as head boy and head girl for this academic year.


On the fine morning of July 18th the grand Investiture Ceremony was celebrated with great enthusiasmThe newly elected parliament members were escorted by the musical band troupe.  The chief guest Sri.Ajeesh SI of Valiyamala honoured and badged the prefectural body and our principal handed over the flag to them thus discharging the duties entrusted to them.  They took an Oath to work earnestly and follow the School Motto, Wisdom, Service and Love with loyalty and truth.



Every year the students and staff joyfully participate in a special celebration to honour our manager father on August 1st.  This year too, the campus was brimming with happiness and excitement.  It was a great privilege and joy for all the students to wish father and presented blossoming bouquets of flowers to our manager.  The whole community had a festive lunch with our dear Father.


A colourful, informative, resourceful parade was organized and a rally was organized from School to chullimanoor junction as a tribute to the freedom fighters and to enhance the patriotic spirit in students.  Every year we get a golden opportunity to spread some social awareness message to the people.


Arts fest was organized on August 16 and 17.  All participants who secured first prize with A grade went to Sahodaya competition held at different schools and I am indeed proud to announce that 32 students participated and secured 1st and 2nd price in various items.



On September 5th Teacher's Day was observed.  The students rendered their enthusiastic services as teachers and took over the day and entertained the teachers.  The world wide theme for the above is "Teaching in Freedom & Empowering Teachers" was undertaken throughout the year.  Students enacted as teachers and took over all the duties.  It was best experience for both teachers and students.


The birth anniversary day of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was celebrated in our school in grant way with variety of programmes commemorating love and affection for the children.  The other important sparkling events were Horror Room Arrangement, 3D Show, Animation Movie Show made the day a memorable one.




Annual sports meet was conducted in the campus.  Students participated in different events with the spirit of sportsmanship on November 8th and 9th.  The winners were taken to Sahodaya and Kerala Sports Meet.


School conducted 3 days exhibition ie. November 29th, 30th & December 1st as a part of completing its 20 years of in the field of imparting excellent coaching to the children of tomorrow by efficient hands.  It was a grand success.  The school invited public and other major institutions.


With the key objective of bringing out the hidden talents of students, department wise exhibition was organized on November 15th.  Students actively participated and displayed many working models, static models, experiments, chart works in all subjects, which gave them a platform to show out their talents and scientific skills.  The exhibits were judged on their creativity and neat arrangement.  Malayalam and Hindi department together won the overall trophy


Number of students attended the PCM, SSAT scholarship exams and secured Second, Fourth and Fifth Rank and Scholarships.


The School organized Heritage Club, Eco Club, GK Club, Disaster Management Club and Adolescences Club.  Every student from standard IV to XII is the member of a club and they sincerely contributed club programmes.  The following club activities were arranged throughout the year.

1. Radio Programme was arranged daily to enhance vocabulary, accent, pronunciation and diction of students.

2. A speech was organized to enhance the "Importance of Hindi Language".

3. Math Quiz was conducted periodically.

4. "Daily vocabulary words" were taught.

5. Cradle for Books (Pusthakathothil) was arranged by the adolescent club members.

6. Poster designing and invitation card making competition was held.


Cleanliness was given prime importance this year, with the theme of zero waste plans.


A project based on vegetable farming was organized by Nallapadam Coordinators.  Fresh and nutritious vegetable from our garden gave a real sense of happiness.  Students had an opportunity of coming close to nature.

Karanel Krishi dry and paddy farming was a project done by Nallapadam coordinators and harvested a good yield.


A patrol of 20 students along with the patrol leader Mrs.Shajila are activity progressing this year keeping in mind the guide law.


Star Health Insurance and Al-Hiba Eye Hospital in coordination conducted an eye camp for two weeks in the month of December in the school campus.


Standard I to VIII were taken to Magic Planet.  Two staff tours were also organized.  A one day tour to Sundara Pandiyapuram and a one day tour to Ponmudi Hills.


Serwavice to other is one of the main values essential in human being.  Our School plays a vital role, developing these ethical values.  We travel a long way to charity with the burning zeal through Nallapadam.


Nallapadam makes the students aware of the social issues and to lead a hand to the poor and needy.  This year Nallapadam Coordinators distributed donation boxes to each and every class rooms from 1st Standard to 12th Standard.  As a part of this project Payasam and Rice Kit were distributed to the less privileged in the Kalayapuram tribal colony, located under Peringamala Panchayat.  The interaction with the inmates filled the minds of the children with deep feelings towards the people.  Seventy kits packed with rice and basic essential materials were distributed to the poor and needy in the School as part of Onam Celebration.

Through charity support, students willingly came forward and donated a notable sum of forty thousand to the victims of the Ocki Cyclone.  The amount was handed over to Arch Bishop of Trivandrum His Excellency Rt.Rev.Dr.Soosai Packiyam.  Students also visited the cyclone prone area, Valiyathura.
